Arsanjan Gas Pressure Station Commisioned

Engineer Alireza Gharibi, the Managing Director of the Gas Engineering and Development Company has said that Arsanjan Gas Pressure Station in Fars Province has been designed, constructed and commissioned with an investment of 750 billion rials.

A report released by the Public Relations Department of Gas Engineering and Development Company, quoted Engineer Gharibi as saying: “In a bid to develop and raise gas transfer capacity at South Pars gas fields through Parsian Gas Refinery and its transfer to the north of the country, the National Iranian Gas Company intends to build 10 gas pressure stations on the 56-inch 4th trunkline.  The Gas Engineering and Development Company has been informed of these projects accordingly.”

Gharibi said one of these projects was that of Arsanjan Gas Pressure Station, adding that the station was launched on February 22, 2010 and has the capacity to increase gas pressure on the 4th and 8th gas trunklines if required so. He said that at present, Arsanjan is supporting the 8th Gas Trunkline.

Gharibi said that Arsanjan Gas Pressure Station is operating with three permanent turbo compressors and one spare compressor with a daily capacity of 110 million cubic meters. The station is now operating with a daily capacity of 77 m.c.m.

Arsanjan is the 4th gas pressure station launched by the Gas Engineering and Development Company in the Iranian year 1388 (March 2009-March 2010). It employs equipment such as turbo compressors and accessories; emergency power generators; gas cooling systems; input transformers; scrubbers; high and low pressure power boards; air compressors; and control systems on an area of 18 hectares. It is located 23 km from Arsanjan city with an input pressure of 1017 Psia and an output of 1035 Psia.”
