A group of director of Iranian Gas Engineering and Development Company (IGEDC) have visited the knowledge-based Arian Sadeh company (H.B. Composite). The purpose of the visit was to study the feasibility of using composite pipes in gas pipelines in the country and strengthen steel pipes using composite coating.

The visiting directors got familiar with the background of the company in manufacturing composite items for the oil and gas industry. They also visited GRE pipes as well as lab equipment.

Composite pipes are largely used in the oil, gas and petrochemical industry due to such advantages as light weight (one-sixth to one-eighth of metal pipes), resistance to corrosion, high manufacturing speed, surface smoothness, high durability and no maintenance requirement. Furthermore, these pipes may be fused to metal pipes.
