IGEDC Presents 5 Old Vehicles to Petromuseum

Hossein Shameli, the director of Petroleum Industry Museums and Documents Center (PIMDC), has praised Iranian Gas Engineering and Development Company (IGEDC) for awarding old vehicles to the petroleum museum. The move by IGEDC was in line with the Ministry of Petroleum’s directive for preserving and showcasing historical items.
Shameli said preserving the history of oil and gas industry was a valuable affair for future generations, adding: “Shahid Taheri Stores Complex has good potential to fee museums due to its long record in the gas industry. It is possible to move more items and ocuments out to museum.”
Abuzar Mansouri, director of commodity logistics and services of IGEDC, laid emphasis on continued interactions between IGEDC and the petroleum museum. He said: “First, one experience expert highlighted the artistic and historical value and attraction of these vehicles, suggesting these properties be moved out to the petroleum museum. It was welcomed by PIMDC experts.”
“By moving these vehicles, part of the history of the gas industry is now preserved in the museum, which would be displayed to public,” he said.
Mansouri said the vehicle included a German-made crane, an old bus and two land-rovers.
“After getting permission from the IGEDC Board of Directors on moving the vehicles, necessary action was taken,” he added.
