According to the Public Relations Department, Alireza Gharibi, the managing director of Iranian Gas Engineering and Development Company, accompanied by a delegation including officials of Khatam ul-Anbia construction headquarters visited Dashte Abbas on Tuesday, Oct. 26 to launch the project for gas supply to Dehloran and Abdanan.
The ceremony was also attended by Governor General of Ilam Province, representative of Dehloran and Abdanan in the Islamic Consultative Assembly (Majlis), Friday prayers leaders of the two cities and a group of local officials and people.
Speaking about the project, Gharibi noted that Khatam ul-Anbia Headquarters will execute the extension of the 6th gas trunkline from Ahvaz to Dehgalan with a length of 600 km and a diameter of 56 inches.
He said the gas pipeline will create a significant transformation in gas supply to the southern and western parts of the country. Among the services, Gharibi cited extension of gas supply to Dehloran city. He said the pipeline will be taken from the 6th trunkline with a diameter of 20 inches and a length of 125 km and extend up to Dehloran. Another extension will also be given to Abdanan with a diameter of 12 inches and length of 85 km.
In continuation of their tour of the region, Gharibi and his accompanying delegation inspected the 6th nationwide gas trunkline which extends from Bidboland region (near Behbahan city) to Ahvaz with a length of 114 km and diameter of 56 inches.
During the inspection, meetings were also held with the contractor (Jahade Nast Kerman Company) and the consultant (Satiran Company) to discuss the latest situation with construction operations and project progress. The sides also exchanged views on ways and means to accelerate construction operations of the said project.
