Simultaneous Inauguration of Gas Projects a New Honor for the Iranian Gas Industry

The Public Relations Department reported that on the occasion of the 22nd anniversary of the Islamic Revolution led by the late Imam Khomeini, the following projects were inaugurated on Sunday, February 6, 2011. The inaugural ceremony was attended by the Minister of Petroleum Dr. Seyed Massoud Mirkazemi; Mr. Javad Oji, deputy minister of petroleum and managing director of the National Iranian Gas Company; governor general of Markazi (Central) province; Majlis deputies of the province; managing director of the Iranian Gas Engineering and Development Company, Mr. Alireza Gharibi; journalists; and officials in charge of the projects:

-          Saveh 2 and 3 gas compression facilities with 7 turbo-compressors, total power of 175 MW and gas transfer capacity of up to 160 million cu. m. per day at the cost of 1,300 billion rials;

-          Tehran 6th gas transmission pipeline over 72 km with a diameter of 48 inches which is to transmit 55 million cu. m. of gas per day; the project has cost 720 billion rials;

-          Khavaran 2 and 4 gas compression facilities with turbo-compressor and the capacity to transmit 110 million cu. m. of gas per day; the project has cost 700 billion rials;

-          Boshraviyeh – Tabas gas transmission pipeline over 98 km with a diameter of 20 inches at the cost of about 300 billion rials;

-          North Qazvin gas transmission pipeline over 10 km with varying diameters of 16 and 20 inches at the cost of 20 billion rials.
