Durability of Establishments Constructed by GEDC above Standards
Gholamreza Keyvani, the executive director of the plan for infrastructural and constructional facilities, in a brief interview with the Public Relations Office outlined the projects related to his plan and said:
“All civil projects related to the National Iranian Gas Company that are being performed throughout the country are implemented under the plan for infrastructural and construction facilities.
Currently, as preference is given to construction projects, major activities of the plan cover large-scale construction projects and so far infrastructural facilities have not been launched yet.”
Further elaborating on the accomplished plans, he said:
“The 40-km Mehr-Lamerd highway as well as Oil and Gas Faculty of Shiraz are among plans that have been put into operation recently. But, there are some eight plans under construction which have not been opened yet and, God Willing, will become operational this year.
“Gas and Petrochemical Faculty of Bushehr which has been constructed in an area of about 12000 square meters inside the Persian Gulf University, has been completed and is ready for inauguration at Government Week (August 24-30).
“Meanwhile, extension of the 64-bed hospital in Towheed Jam Township has been completed and delivered to the health and treatment organization.
“Also, Khourmoj, Sardasht, Neyshabour, Gonabad, and Shahroud pipeline yards would be completed and delivered to the operational unit by the end of the current year.
“Basically, pipeline yards are delivered to the gas transfer management after construction so that with the stationing of the required manpower and equipment the operation unit could, through each of the pipeline yards, maintain urban pipelines up to a radius of 200 km.”
As for future plans, the official said:
“The central yard of Bushehr has been started recently and Mianeh, Sarakhs, Bijar and Pol-Dokhtar yards are among projects that after general bids and appointment of the contractor would be planned so that the executive operations would be launched before the year end.
“Meanwhile, the project for cultural-welfare complex of the Persian Gulf University is under construction which would be completed next year.”
Pointing to the problems of the plan, he further remarked:
“Generally, construction projects are among hard plans in implementation of which skilled engineers, mechanics and architects should be employed. The present problem is related to liquidity; if money is provided on time projects would be accomplished at high quality on time.”
As for creation of motivations he said:
“With regard to the fact that the personnel of the plan are mostly technical, the motivation for immunization of structures of the plan is very high. If a building collapses and a person loses his life all should be responsive before God. This has resulted in high quality accomplishment of the projects which is the outcome of the spontaneous motivation of the personnel.”
