According to a report released by the Public Relations Department of Gas Engineering and Development Company, a ceremony marking the launch of gas supply operation to Greater Alamout was held on Wednesday, February 15, 2012.

The Governor General of Qazvin Engineer Ajami, Managing Director of Gas Company of Qazvin Engineer Najafi Qara Tappeh, as well as a group of people of Alamut region and officials of Gas Engineering and Development Company were present at the ceremony.

The gas supply line has a diameter of 12 inches and an estimated length of 49 km with a credit of over 177 billion rials. The project is estimated to be completed by Gas Engineering and Development Company in 570 days.
