According to public relations, the ceremony of unveiling of contractors HSE performance monitoring system for the implementation of projects of Iran Gas Engineering and Development Company based on knowledge management with evaluation approach was held Saturday, October 2, at the ground floor conference hall of the company's central building with the attendance of Project Executors, Head of HSE, Head of Research and Technology and Head of ICT, Project Executors and faculty members of Semnan University.

Mr. Bahram Salavati, CEO of Iran Gas Engineering and Development Company said "in addition to promoting HSE culture accurate and effective control of safety standards to eliminate accidents in projects, visualized: Occurrence of accidents, however small and minor, can overshadow all the efforts made by the project pillars with unresolved demands."

He considered utilizing the capacity of software systems to reduce and control accidents as one of the important strategies to secure the areas of projects in the gas industry and while appreciating the effective cooperation of HSE affairs and research in designing and implementing HSE performance monitoring system for contractors, said "We expect this system to be implemented at a more advanced and efficient level than similar systems in the country, and if the desired results are obtained, this new model and experience will be extended to different parts of the gas industry."

Salavati added: "the trustees of this system should prepare a report on the effectiveness of this system in the next few months so that we can evaluate the extent to which the establishment of this new system has been successful in solving the system's problems and achieving the defined goals."

The CEO of Iran Gas Engineering and Development Company appreciating the efforts of two faculty members of Semnan University in designing and implementing the H.S.E performance monitoring system for contractors, stressed the need to use approved research software in the field of H.S.E in the implementation of projects.

A successful model of research project implementation

Ebrahim Asalati, Head of Research and Technology of Iran Gas Engineering and Development Company, in this ceremony, considered the implementation of the HSE performance monitoring system project of contractors as a suitable model of the success of research projects in the company and said "The success of research projects is the product of the will and determination of the exploiter, and in this system, the continuity and follow-up of H.S.E. colleagues led to the success of the project."

Alireza Shokouhian, Head of HSE Affairs, also stated at the ceremony that monitoring the performance of contractors is possible through data analysis and review. Prioritizing safety-related tasks is one of the advantages of this system.

He added "we are now in the first phase of this project and the system will evolve when it is used on a daily basis in the process of the company's projects and each person collects or enters the required information with his username."

The head of H.S.E affairs said: the creation of program called contractors performance system is the result of teamwork and empathy between H.S.E affairs researcher and project manager (Semnan University), which has been achieved with the support of the CEO and other pillars of the company.

The report adds; Employer and contractor interaction at all stages of the project and structured recording of contractors' performance in the field of H.S.E. can turn it into structured knowledge that can be used in all departments and subdivisions and prevent the occurrence and recurrence of accidents. It can also be used to quickly, accurately, comparably and comprehensively monitor the H.S.E. of crisis management and passive defense of contractors in various projects.

Also in this system, which is implemented in the Windows operating system, different access levels for different users such as contractors, consultants, project managers, H.S.E liaisons, project managers and system managers have been considered, at higher levels, it is possible to review and confirm the data and finally the possibility of reporting for company managers.
