Implementation of H.S.E culture evaluation and promotion project with the aim of increasing safety factor

Moving within the framework of values and adhering to norms are two important components in the discussion of organizational culture that the comprehensive implementation of these two elements at different levels of the organization, leads to a balanced development of the system.

 

Alireza Shokoohian, Deputy Managing Director of Iran Gas Engineering and Development Company, said in a management meeting on "HSE Culture Evaluation and Promotion Project" held on Saturday, January 1, in the presence of managers, executives, heads of affairs, consultants and project executors in the conference hall of the central building. "We must set our sights on values and ensure that we improve and enhance the quality of our activities and projects by committedly implementing the defined criteria" he said.

 

He also stressed the need to comply with norms in the organization and continued: "Successful companies develop capabilities and competencies in a balanced way in their various departments, and progress can be seen in all their components and levels, so the engineering company Which is one of the leading collections at the level of the Ministry of Petroleum, is also expected to move forward in various layers of the system.

 

Shokoohian called HSE one of the areas of the company in which good steps have been taken and continued: "Due to the executive space of the Gas Engineering and Development Company, the type of risks and dangers facing this company is different from other groups and those involved in projects with executive risks." There are many encounters and interactions with contractors and consultants who are involved in projects with different cultures are particularly sensitive.

 

He described the ultimate goal of the "implementation of the HSE Culture Assessment and Promotion Project" as modifying the HSE culture in the company and added: having a consulting team so that the costs and resources spent on the project are used in the most efficient way possible and lead to acceptable and practical results.

 

The Deputy CEO considered "fair and comprehensive" reporting at various stages of the H.S.E culture evaluation and promotion project very important, adding: "By analyzing the outputs and reports of this project, existing problems can be corrected and the company can be led to more success."

 

On the sidelines of the ceremony, Milad Mohammadi, Director of Safety, Health and Passive Defense, said that the purpose of the meeting was to develop, introduce and explain a new, efficient and practical model for promoting HSE culture in the Gas Engineering and Development Company and added: In order to improve safety coefficients and reduce accident rates, in addition to introducing a favorable outlook for the company's HSE culture, corrective actions are taken regarding the company's plans and projects.

 

The Director of Safety, Health and Passive Defense pointed out that a similar project has been less experienced at the level of the Ministry of Oil, noting: Introduce the gas industry and the Ministry of Oil and achieve issues such as proper leadership, greater and more effective commitment, participatory management and more support from executive staff in this project.

 

It is worth mentioning that in this ceremony, the consultant and executor of H.S.E culture evaluation project, while introducing the plans and stages of project implementation, explained the safety culture evaluation models and the goals and plans of the project.
