CEO of Iran Gas Engineering and Development Company said: The existence of gas fields in Ilam is a great potential for this province and the development of Bankol and Babaghir gas fields, draws clear perspectives in the expansion of job opportunities among talented young people in this region of our beloved country.
By saying that Ilam province is one of the provinces with potential in the field of oil and gas and the development of various gas projects, including the development of phase two of Ilam refinery and Bankol and Babaghir reservoirs in this ancient and original land, is under the orders of NIGC, Reza Noshadi noted: After drilling the well and obtaining the required data, the Bankol reservoir evaluation project will enter the study phase in the fall of next year to determine its volume, pressure and production capacity for the next few years, and on this basis, the field development phase will begin.
Daily Production of 15 Million Cubic Meters of Gas
Referring to the huge capacity of the Bankol gas field, he said: According to current information that will be verified in future studies, with development of this field, 15 million cubic meters of gas will be produced daily, which, due to the need of building a refinery next to it, will cause employment for the province's forces and improving the indicators of prosperity and well-being in the surrounding communities.
CEO of Iran Gas Engineering and Development Company also announced the company's plan to develop Babaghir field in the neighborhood of Bankol field and stated: The success of Bankol project creates a valuable opportunity for development of Babaghir field, which, considering the size of the refining facilities of these two fields, hopes for development of Ilam have increased and people of the region, will benefit from expansion of job opportunities and its effects and blessings.
