Public Relations Department’s interview with Mr. Keivani, official in charge of infrastructural facilities and construction projects

Mr. Gholamreza Keivani in interview with Public Relations Department:
Construction Work Is Among the Most Difficult Activities
Public Relations Department: Official in charge of infrastructural and construction plans noted that projects implemented thus far have been carried out with unparalleled speed under careful supervision and in cooperation with university professors.
Mr. Gholamreza Keivani, a graduate of civil engineering from California State University, has been employed by the Iranian oil industry since 1983. During 25 years of his services he has held several posts in the National Iranian Offshore Oil Company before implementing infrastructural and construction projects with the National Iranian Gas Company. What follows is the text of his interview with the Public Relations Department.
Q: Mr. Keivani, please explain about the projects implemented by you or under your supervision?
A: Those projects are as follows:
1. Construction of the biggest warehouse in the Middle East, that is, Shahid Taheri warehouse with an area of 100 hectares which in addition to several barns and administrative buildings, has a health center, cooperative store, railroad station and 26 km of roads;
2. Construction of 1-million-barrel tanks in Lavan and emergency tanks in Bahregan;
3. Construction of Laft dock and offshore structures;
4. Construction of residential complexes in Bandar Abbas, Sarakhs and Jam region;
5. Construction of cultural and sports complexes at Towhid Jam Township;
6. Construction of Grand Prophet Mosque over an area of 12,000 sq. m. at Towhid Jam township according to Ilkhanid, Seljuk, Safavid and modern architectural styles;
7. Construction of repair yards for gas pipelines in more than 22 cities of Iran;
8. Construction of a 100-ha warehouse for the National Iranian Gas Company along Saveh road;
9. Construction of a gas tower in 22 stories within 5 years over an area of 32,800 sq. m. after excavating more than 15 m;
10. Construction of 17 km of mountain road in Miyankouh.
Q: Please explain about the ongoing projects and those ready for commissioning?
A: They include:
1. Construction of Mohr–Lamerd highway in Fars province;
2. Construction of Shiraz Oil and Gas University over an area of 18,500 sq. m. in 10 stories;
3. Construction of Persian Gulf University of Gas and Petrochemicals in Bushehr;
4. Construction of administrative and transportation buildings for Sarkhoun gas refinery.
Future projects to be implemented by the Gas Engineering and Development Company include:
1. Construction of a cultural and sports complex for  Persian Gulf University of Gas and Petrochemicals;
2. Construction of 6 repair yards in Gonabad, Neishabour, Shahroud, Hormuz, Sardasht, and Urmia;
3. Construction of a residential complex at Parsian gas refinery.
