Head of Gas Engineering and Development Company’s security in interview with Public Relations Department:
Using security and control software and offering specialized consultation services at all levels has led to more effective and accountable security
Mr. Sattar Khorrami, head of the security at the Gas Engineering and Development Company was born in 1963 and holds a bachelor’s degree in political sciences. He was employed by the oil industry in 1987. Since the beginning, he has worked with the security department of the oil industry. He has also served the oil exploration department. In 2003, he was transferred to the National Iranian Gas Company as head of the security at Zanjan Province Gas Company. He has also served as head of the legal department, secretary of administrative development council, and secretary of the clientele veneration project. In August 2008, he was appointed head of the security of the Gas Engineering and Development Company.
He was asked about the procedure at the security department of Zanjan Province Gas Company followed by the security department of the Gas Engineering and Development Company.
He said, “As I moved to Zanjan Province Gas Company’s security, which was already run by head of the company’s Basij force, the department became independent and a regular organization was established which has tried to provide specialized consultation service to managers and other staff of the company and to train security personnel by collecting all related directives, organizing correspondence, establishment of an electronic secretariat, and establishment of a comprehensive personnel system including issuing electronic identification cards. Thus, the way has been paved for an effective and accountable security department to be established. As for my activities at the Gas Engineering and Development Company’s security, which was previously run by Mr. Najjar and his colleagues, I have tried to continue with the same dynamic and organic approach to review organization of personnel and security systems, documents security system as well as physical and electronic security system. Helped by the Almighty and through positive interactions, we have reached all our organizational goals while following our professional mission. Of course, our performance has never been free from fault and we need advice from well-wishers.”
As for his past responsibilities, Mr. Khorrami said, “In addition to heading the security, I have been member of committees of cultural affairs, prayer promotion, ordering good and forbidding vice, civil defense, and crisis management and I hope God Almighty will help me with my duties.”
